Romeo and Juliet is a romance play about two families that hate eachother. Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet. The play starts off with a fight between two people from each family. Benvolio, who is a Montague, trys to stop the fight but gets himself caught up fighting with Tybalt, a Capulet. During the fight the Prince Escalus, the prince of Verona, stops the feuding and tells each family that if there is another fight within the city between the two families there will be consequences.
Romeo, a Montague, falls in love with a girl named Rosealine. Rosealine does not have the same emotions towards Romeo as he does to her. Benvoilo talks to Romeo and tells him to move on and find another love, one more beautiful and loving.
Meanwhile, Count Paris, who is a kinsmen of Prince Escalus, is in love with Juliet. Juliet doesn't feel any affection towards Paris. Count Paris asked Juliets father if he could take her hand in marriage, but her father quickly stated that Juliet is much too young and he must wait two years.
One night, Romeo and the rest of his friends deiceded to go to a party in the Capulet manchine. On this night Romeo and Juliet meet and fall in love almost imeaditly. Since they are both part of the family rivials they are forbidden to see or talk to eachother. Romeo makes a vow to Juliet stating that he will marry her.
In the meantime, a fight breaks out between Tybalt and Benvolio. Tybalt kills Benvolio and Romeo kills Tybalt. Prince Escalus orders Romeo out of the city so he goes and stays in Mantua a city away from Verona. While he isn't present at his new house a message comes from Frayer saying that he gave Juliet a posion so that she will sleep for 42 hours and pretend to be dead. Since Romeo doesn't get the letter he is unaware of what is happening so he gets a posion strong enough for seven men, and drinks it and kills him self next to Juliet. When Juliet wakes up she also drinks a posion so that she dies and can be with Romeo. In the end, they both ended up together.
